06-24-2016—A Less Stabby Agave

Manfreda maculosa flower has opened. When I planted it last year, I hadn't seen any Manfredas growing in local gardens, so wasn't sure if they tolerate clay. Seems to be doing fine. Had to put it on dripper as it likes a bit of water. Not sure if its monocarpic like other members of Agavaceae, but a pup is growing adjacent as replacement if needed.

After success with Manfreda, I added Mangave 'Macho Mocha'
